asked on

Who is logged on to Domain currently?

I've looked but don't understand. Is there a way to find out who is logged onto a 2003 domain? I've seen reference to this (pslogged) but don't know how to use it.

Not really. You can see when people logged on with the correct Auditing Settings, but there's no tool to see all the users currently logged in. PsLoggedOn enables you to query a particular computer for the logged in user(s), and not the whole network.

The best way I find to keep track of exactly who is logging in and out is to use a logon and logoff script to write to a text file to alert of a logon and logoff. This is quite simple to achieve in VBScript, and enables you to see exactly who has logged on today, which users have logged off and therefore which users are remaining logged in on the network. Let me know if you would like an example.

thanks for your help on this. I need to integrate this with Desktop Authority and the script it uses for people's logons. This will take me about a week to get to (we've got flooding going on east of Seattle now). Thanks for this!

Bryce.

Glad to hear that should sort matters. I hope the flooding doesn't cause too much damage for you,
