Error 0x80004005 when trying to download the OAB
I've also got the 0x80004005 error when I try to download the offline address book in Outlook 2007 (no pre-2007 clients).

I have a clean install of Exchange 2007 (2 mailbox servers in a CCR cluster on Windows Server 2003, 2 Hub/Cas servers on Windows Server 2008).

I've enabled web-based distribution for the OAB. OAB generation on the mailbox server, and distribution to the Cas servers all seems to be ok. it looks like the Outlook client is unable to download the required files from the Cas server.

Any ideas/solutions to this problem?

Many thanks

Huub

The mentioned article applies to Exchange 2000, e.g. OAB distribution through public folders. I have Exchange 2007 without public folders, distribution occurs web-based.

Unfortunately none of the suggested troubleshooting methods mentioned in the articles/forums have brought me further with the problem or they are not applicable to my setup (i.e. refer to Outlook 2003/Exchange Server 2000/2003)

Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
