I have some difficulties in getting a route-map to work. I am trying to load-balance http/smtp traffic off to a second ISP via a route-map. This works fine - as long as I have a defined "next hop" - which is easy to configure with the "set ip next-hop 10.x.y.z" commad.

Our ISP2 terminates on a Ethernet Interface with a PPPoE Dialer. Everything works, except a Next Hop which is not in the range of the Interface IP: The public IP we are getting is a x.y.z.1/32 The next hop negotiated via IPCP is another /32 IP in another subnet ...

Two solutions dont seem to work:
"set ip next-hop dynamic dhcp" does not seem to work - its IPCP not DHCP
"set ip next-hop recursive A.B.C.D" does not eihter - I dont have a next hop, not even a recursive

I can see my next hop whith the "show ip cef  INTERFACE" command - but I cant seem to utilize the Netx Hop Ip in my route map configuration ...

Anybody any idea???
Thanks in advance!

[not to mention our ISP ARCOR Germany is not of any help - they simply dont call back although they promised - surprise surpise]
C2821-ZT#show ip int brief
Dialer10 YES IPCP up up
C2821-ZT#sh int Dial 10
Dialer10 is up, line protocol is up (spoofing)
  Hardware is Unknown
  Internet address is
C2821-ZT#show ip cef Dialer 10
Prefix Next Hop Interface attached Dialer10 receive
