Web server loosing connection to SQL server

We have 3 web servers that point to a DB cluster.  Web servers run Server 2003 IIS 6.0 and DB servers run server 2003 and SQL 2005.

1 web server is at times failing to do SQL queries.  You can telnet the SQL server at the time and run command line SQL queries.  The only we can resolve is by rebooting the server.

I am getting a series of events as shown below.
