Printing barcodes from Progress 4GL
I'm looking to print barcodes to a laser printer from Progress 4GL. I am running Progress Version 9.1D08 on HP-UX 11. From looking at the Progress Knowledgebase, article P7971, it appears that the following program will do this http://www.peg.com/utilities/hp_barcd.p. the problem is, that program doesn't appear to exist on that website.
Does anyone know how to do this, or perhaps have a copy of the hp_barcd.p program? Thank you!

Hi jimpen,
I did see that actually. I'm printing from a unix system (without report builder), which added a little complexity. I was rather hoping one of the Progress folks out there might have the code for the hp_barcd.p program that Progress tells you to use for printing barcodes from 4GL...
Thanks...

Are you locked into using that app?
How about an open source report builder for linux? I'm sure there is one that can connect to a Progress DB.

Thanks impen... Unfortunately we're locked into this app, as it is our ERP system... <sigh...> :)

Hi jimpen,
I actually emailed the PEG users group and got the code from one of their members, but since you were kind enough to respond to my question I'll mark your answer as the accepted solution since it got me in the right direction... thanks!

Glad to be of assistance. May all your days get brighter and brighter.
