First I want to start off with how un user friendly this application has been since the day it went into production. It seems that every time you turn around this application is having issues.

Today the issue came when a user was actively using their Outlook client (Version 2003 with SP3) They got a

     Runtime Error!
     Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact
the application's support team for more information.

When you click ok, that message disappears and the real error window pops up with event ID's 5922 and1000.

     Event ID 5922:
An error occurred with the Microsoft CRM Outlook add-in.  Restart Microsoft Outlook and try again. HR=0x80070057. Context=General. Function=COutlookSyncManager::BackgroundSync. Line=757.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

     Event ID 1000:
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8217.0, faulting module msidcrl40.dll, version 5.0.737.6, fault address 0x000beeb0.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

Here is what I have tried:

1) Repair Outlook
2) Repair CRM
3) Un-install CRM and Re-install CRM

The only way to keep Outlook from crashing is to disabled CRM addin. This makes me believe that CRM is indeed the issue at hand.

Any Thoughts?
