HP SATA controller Driver for HP Pavillion dv9843cl to Uninstall VIsta and install XPPro

I have a Hp Laptop Model dv9843cl  Ser# CFN8115KRD P/N KN904UA#ABA with two internal 320GB Western Digital SATA Drives. Model #WDC WD3200BEKT-22F3T0 AND WDC WD3200BEVT-60ZCT0
This Laptop came with Vista Home from HP. The Vista home was upgraded to Vista Ultimate which does recognize both  the primary and internal secondary drives . The primary and  secondary drive show up in the Device Manager and the Bios and  passed all test.
I want to uninstall Vista et al and replace it with XPPro/Sp3. When I boot from the XPPro install disk I get a No hard drive foundError
I want to reformat  both both internal  primary and secondary Hard drives  and be able to use both internal  primary and secondary Hard drives with XPPro/.SP3 only
I was not given any disks by HP for the laptop So I do not have the Install disks or the XPPro  HP SATA controller Drivers for this computer.
In the Laptop BIOS, I am unable to find any mention of the SATA AHCI mode.  nor do I havethe ability to set the  SATA operation mode to Legacy or IDE mode (non-AHCI or RAID).
