We have been asked to install the following O/S with SQL on a server.
Windows 2003 Server
SQL 2005 Standard Edition
We have very limited experience of SQL, any suggestions on best way forward to purchase, i.e. do we purchase Windows 2003 Server and then purchase SQL 2005 Standard Edition separately or purchase as a "bundled" product.
P.S. The server is to be used on workgroups only, no domain, thus no need to worry about CAL's, server is Dell Poweredge with Dual Xeon CPU's thus 32 bit O/S needed. Appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks
