Hi all,

I would like to underline that unfortunately i tried all the guide submitted, foolowing the instruction. The issue is that the vmware tool doesn't get installed. Now i am not sure which one will be the best option, what i mean is if is necessary use the command line only or can be installed from the GUI in linux.

I am using VMware Server and i am already running 6 virtual machine two DC one Exchange Server and three file server and all of them ar using vmware tool and they are on production environment. On windows is simple thing to do just click on vm and click install vmware tool then the rest is all automatic. With Linux no matter if i use the command line instruction you gave me or if I try to use the same procedure used for the installation on the windows environment, the tool is not installed.

Now i do not have any idea about linux as i am windows guy, and indeed I want to use linux to be able to learn.

Any other more specific help? Specific means if there is anyone that has the linux redhat 64 bit installed on vmware server. Also it could be because the linux redhat is a 64 bit?

Let me know please

Many thanks in advances
