I am following the steps in this support article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/276553

I was able to create the certificate following those instructions and choose it with SQL Configuration Manager. However, when actually connecting with a remote machine I receive the error:

"The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted"

The certificate however was issued by the enterprise CA and other certificates issued from the same machine work fine (SSL for IIS etc).

I found this question asked by Stilgar but it leads to a dead end. I'm hoping some other people have an idea.

Please let me know if you need any more information.
