troubleshooting Question

SD card not recognized by Vista.

I'm running Windows Vista. It recognizes my SD Reader very well,as you can see going under Control Panel / System / Device management / Disk units :

Generic USB CF Reader USB Device
Generic USB MS Reader USB Device
Generic USB SD Reader USB Device
Generic USB SM Reader USB Device

the problem is that my SD card (it's about 1 GB) is not recognized. When I put it inside the reader,nothing happens (under Linux is recognized,instead). Why ?
