The following query works and sorts in ascending order.  How do I change it to sort in descending order.

SELECT Q.AreaName, Q.Total
FROM Q
ORDER BY Iif([Forms]![Graph_InputForm]![ogGraphTimePeriodType]=7,[Q.Total,Q.AreaName);

 I have tried many variations but none work.  The following doesn't blow up but continues to sort Total in ascending order.

SELECT Q.AreaName, Q.Total
FROM Q
ORDER BY Iif([Forms]![Graph_InputForm]![ogGraphTimePeriodType]=7,( Q.[Total] & 'DESC'),Q.AreaName)

Thanks
SELECT Q.AreaName, Q.Total
FROM Q
ORDER BY Iif([Forms]![Graph_InputForm]![ogGraphTimePeriodType]=7,[Q.Total,Q.AreaName);

SELECT Q.AreaName, Q.Total
FROM Q
ORDER BY Iif([Forms]![Graph_InputForm]![ogGraphTimePeriodType]=7,( Q.[Total] & 'DESC'),Q.AreaName)
