Emails disappearing in Lotus Notes

I have more than a few occurrences of emails disappearing in client mailboxes.  They are not old (meaning anywhere from 2 weeks to a month old).  For example, one user sent a number of documents on a single day and about 2 weeks later went to look for them and they were gone.  They were not in any view and all sent on the same day.  There has been  no replication or archiving.  Fixup runs w/ -N so that corrupt docs won't be deleted if found.  Server is R7, client 6.5....any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

No, that's not it.  I'm looking at the All documents view in the restored database and the active one.  This is happening to more than 1 user and each time the all documents view is used.  All sent docs are saved, so it's not that either.....I'm going to restore additional copies from the days in between the occurrence and the day it was noticed that the documents were missing to try and figure out what day this occurred.  If an accidental delete was the case, I should see these in the trash as the setting is for soft delete and 2 days.  I'm fairly certain they aren't going to be anywhere.  Do you have any other ideas as to why this might be happening?
Nope sorry - other than accidental delete, archiving, replication, the usual suspects, I personally have not seen or heard of e-mails disappearing.

Not sure of the cause of the problem, however, rebuilding the views/indexes fixed this problem in all cases.  I also had an issue where emails were disappearing from the inbox as soon as they were opened...inbox corruption and replacing the template fixed it.  Thanks for the suggestions and information.
