Has anyone found a way of running Sage in a low-graphics mode so it will run faster over Citrix? When we switched to Sage Accounts 2008 some time last year I noticed Sage have upgraded all their buttons and menus to include rounded corners and orange highlights as you mouse-over the various buttons in the application. TBH nobody really needs that and it's a nuisance when you're trying to run Sage on a Citrix connection and you want the best possible performance to keep your fussy accountants happy. I've already done similar things with other applications on our Citrix servers and noticed good performance improvements in the past. I've spoken to Sage about this and they are sure nothing can be done about it. In fact they are still denying the existence of terminal services or Citrix at this stage and I had to explain the concept to the person on the helpdesk.
I've thought about serving the application in 256-colours but not tried it yet - I think that would be getting a bit desperate.
Sage is going out as a published application.
