TASbook installation on Client error

The network concerned has 2 ethernet connected PC's running XP  and Windows Server 2003 with the domain 'K9'.
One of the PC's can use TASbooks but the other cannot.
Tas was installed incorrectly and has now been corrected, however one of the PC's cannot access the TASbooks data on the server, giving an error 94 on BTRIEVE actions which is related to access rights / permissions.
Users are assigned access to the server under the user names of 'user'@K9.local.
And the users are also assigned to the sharing and security permissions on the folder where the data is stored.
The user and PC that cannot connect to the TASbooks, can access the folder where the data is stored via 'my computer' (and create new files and folders on the drive).
It is the same problem as the following link:

However, I cannot follow the solution instructions as on the serverLocal Policies|Audit Policy, the buttons to enable auditing for success or failure are both greyed out.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
