CSS Drop Down Menu Over Flash Content Problem
Has anyone run into problems with drop down menus overlaying flash content?
I have implemented a horizontal drop down menu (from: http://www.seoconsultants.com/css/menus/tutorial/) that rests on top of a flash header, also containing navigation (v8).
However, in safari list elements in a given drop down do not display unless the cursor is directly over one of them, and the rest do not appear. Playing with flash's wmode setting has not solved the issue for me - either setting the flash object or embed tag to transparent or both.
It seems to function how I want it to in FF on Mac. However, in IE (6 or 7) the menu will not respond to any event.
To make sure the menu was working anyway, I replaced the flash with a placeholder .jpg, and the the drop down menu is stable and working propertly across all these browsers. It seems to be specifically flash related.
Sound like a familiar problem to any of you guys?
