Disabling Windows Time Service - XP Pro
I have a machine that is part of a large company domain. Due to the needs of a software application, I need the System Date to be set exactly 1 year earlier than current. The problem I'm running into is that Windows Time is constantly reverting this date back.
I understand I can stop the Windows Time service, and it would not sync time with the network. But how can that adversely affect me? Are there any other easy solutions?
Please note that I have no access to Active Directory or domain settings, only Admin rights to this machine.

If you have any applications that depend on Kerberos V5 authentication, you'd be in trouble or any other programs that depend on time synchronization. However, you'd pretty much run into the same issues with ANY other method.
