Hey EE,

I'm setting up an MSCS cluster on VMware.  Following through the documentation provided by VMware is easy enough, but it raised a question...

How can I tell if an EXISTING vmdk was created using the 'eagarzeroedthick' option?  This is more for my curiousity...say you were coming in after-the-fact, how would you know it was setup correctly?  I imagine you could scan the disk sectors somehow and see a bunch of zeros where no files existed, but I was thinking more about reading the metadata of the vmdk itself.

Anyway, if someone is really bored, let me know what you think about this one.

Thanks,
C
