Set up roaming profiles in sbs 2008

Hi,

just a quick question - I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the direction of how to set up profiles on sbs 2008 so that they are roaming, ie desktop and favourites follow the user when they move clients within our network. We used to do this on our sbs 2003 network, but it appears that the same method (setup a share profiles$ and point profile pathway to that share in user properties) does not work in the same way for sbs 2008.

Your assistance much appreaciated.

Thanks

James

TechSoEasy, why do you say roaming profiles are bad in a SBS environment? Roaming profiles are great, especially with folder redirection (thanks for mentioning that because I forgot to). Roaming profiles will allow the users to take their desktop experience with them wherever they go in the domain. This is very important when you have more users than computers.

Thanks for your responses on a weekend ... I am heading out of the office for two days but will then have a look at both of your suggestions, and report back.

James
