Move Outlook 2007 PST files to off of C:
I am using Vista. Outlook has a couple of IMAP gmail accounts. I need to store the PST files on the D: drive.
Please help me move them off of C:, thank you =)

Now when you are in outlook you can click on file then open, outlook data file, browse to where you saved it on D: and then open it.
Thats it.

Copying Outlook.pst to d: is works fine. OL asks me to locate it which I do.
But my gmail PST file just gets recreated and it downloads to c: again...it's huge.

Hello YoungBonzi,
If you are talking about PST file for IMAP account, it is a temporary file, and it's location cannot be moved. Outlook will also download the file to the default location.
If you want to reduce the size of the Gmail IMAP PST file, hide some of the folders, so they are not downloaded. If you have a label for all your emails, then the emails are duplicated in the All Mail folder. You can unsubscribe or hide that folder. Or you can hide the label folders

Thanks for the tip war1, I have the same sentiments about the labels/folders.
C:\Users\<username>\AppDat
copy the *.pst file in there to your D drive.
