Do I have to have a DNS server running on my Windows 2008 Server?
When I installed the Active Directory Domain Services I received the attached message when I selected no to installing the DNS Server.
I do not know how to setup a DNS server or even mess with DNS in general.
I would like to just use OpenDNS as my DNS server.
I have the DHCP service that is running on this Windows 2008 Server pointing to the opendns ip addresses.
Also you can check my threads and i have been having problems with Active directory and stuff like that so I decided to reinstall ADDS and start over so I am not sure if the DNS server is the root of all my problems or not but I am sort of worried that it is not helping my slow progress.
