Setup / Access Cox and Internet
I'm trying to setup a VPN host at my home. The host is on Windows XP Home Edition. Cox is the ISP and I have a Linksys wireless router. I want to be able to access this computer via the internet on my wireless laptop loaded with Vista.
I have the XP box setup to accept Incoming connections. Not sure if I should keep the DHCP option or setup a static IP. If the latter, does it matter what I enter? Do I need to make any changes to my wireless router to permit access? How to I access this from the outside. The IP of the XP box is usually something like 192.168.1.1 which is just internal I believe.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
