Exchange 2007 Public Folder Auto Reply Certain Time

I'm trying to create an autoreply for an after hours support group. I read that you have to use a mail enabled public folder to send the reply. How do I do that? And once that's done, how do I make it only reply between 5pm and 8am? I've already created the mail enabled public folder but haven't gotten to the auto reply part yet. I stopped when I started wondering how I was going to make it reply only during those hours.

There is no way that I know of to get an auto reply to fire only during a certain time. Certainly not with a public folder.
The closest you can get is with out of office, which can be scheduled.

So could an out of office reply be setup on a public folder? Or would a mailbox have to be set up to replace the distribution group and the out of office set up on that mailbox?

You cannot do OOTO on a public folder, so it would have to be moved to a Mailbox. The OOTO could then be managed through OWA.

Thanks for your suggestion but it won't accomplish what I need. I've seen other companies have autoreplies only during certain hours, I need to find out how that's done.
