asked on

Can I delete a disk from a spanned set?

I have a server running server 2003 r2 enterprise. It has a 500 gb drive for OS and a seperate set of 2 500gb drives spanned.  The second drive in the spanned set has nothing on it (assuming) as there is only 200 gb of used space.  Is it possible to delete the second volume without screwing everything up or am I stuck with backing the contents up and reformating both drives and creating a mirror and then restoring the contents?
