SQLServer 2005 Express and Replication

Hi there

We are exploring the possibility to use database replication/syncronisation or other alternative methods using .NET application. We have 2 identical databases and due to the restriction on the bandwidth application is seperated between online (external) and offline mode (internal).

My question:
1. With SQLServer 2005 Express edition, have a replication between these 2 database?
2. Or is there any alternative way to achieve this? Maybe replication is not the best way.
3. How about other free database?

I am appreciated your comment.
