Relay denies filling up logfiles
My Sendmail log has a number of entries for denied relays.
Jan 23 10:41:10 ldc-mail-02 sendmail[25353]: n0NAf9eZ025353: ruleset=check_rcpt, arg1=<s2288@mail2000.com.t w>, relay=118-167-129-101.dyna mic.hinet. net [118.167.129.101], reject=550 5.7.1 <s2288@mail2000.com.tw>... Relaying denied
Jan 23 10:41:10 ldc-mail-02 sendmail[25353]: n0NAf9eZ025353: lost input channel from 118-167-129-101.dynamic.hi net.net [118.167.129.101] to MTA after rcpt
Jan 23 10:41:10 ldc-mail-02 sendmail[25353]: n0NAf9eZ025353: from=<titieueue@hotmail.co m>, size=0, class=0, nrcpts=0, proto=SMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=118-167-129-101.dyna mic.hinet. net [118.167.129.101]
These denies are just taking up space in my log files. Is there any way I can divert these to another log, or add this particular address specifically to a denial list so that the deny doesn't actually make it into the log file at all ?
TIA

How much space are we talking about? My maillog files are typically around 20MB for a few days worth of mail and I get around 2000 messages a day (not including dropped spam).

We're getting messages trying to relay every 2 or 3 seconds, so it is building up quite a large log file when added to our own valid entries.
Our log files have in the region of 30-50 thousand entries a day.
