Receive winmail.dat on MAC from Exchange 2007

I have a client using Entourage mail client on a Mac and he couldn't receive any attachment sent from Outlook. It appears as winmail.dat. This problem couldn't be fixed if we ask everything to change the mail format to "Plain Text" before sending out.

Is there any solution on MAC to read winmail.data ? Alternatively, will there be any solution on Exchange 2007 or 3rd tool that could explicity convert the mail format to plain text for particular user ?

Thanks

On the exchange server, go to global settings, Internet Message Formats, Default Properties, Advanced tab, for "Exchange Rich-Text Format" select "Never Use".

This will prevent your Exchange server from using Rich-Text Format and creating winmail.dat files.

Hi,
I only want to use the Text format for a particular recipient. Is there a way to do this ?

Thanks

Probably not. I believe it is an all or nothing setting. Try the 3rd party tools.
