asked on

redirect requested ip address to an alternate ip address

Have a simple lab setup with 2 computers connected to a switch.
We need to do some benchmarking with a custom program.
the custom program connects to a IIS website by its ip address.
I have the IIS server working locally but its not on the same publict IP address. Is their a way like how the hosts files will work with names to redirect an ip request?
so any request going to ip1 will actually be sent to ip2 without use of a router.
