PSD or PNG converted to HTML?

Greetings,

I was browsing the web when I found this website:  http://htmlburger.com/

They say they can take an image file and convert it into standards compliant XHTML and CSS.

Question: how is this done?  Is there a special technique/software for this process?

Not all services like that do the same quality work, but this one seems pretty good.

> code tables, td, tr and etc.

Hopefully they don't (mis)use tables for layout.

ok so when someone uses the phrase "image slicing" what they are really talking about is merely breaking down the image in question into parts and assigning a coding strategy to it e.g . one part of the image becomes a background image, menus assignments translate to javascript.  But in the end, it's all a matter of hand coding or choosing your IDE to code it.  Did I get that right?

Hand code with support - benefit from some software such as Dreamweaver, Frontpage is the common way.
Hope that help
