chkdsk keeps running, intermittent blue screens

This PC runs chkdsk (very slowly) every time it is booting up.  I ran the onboard hard drive diags - the ones that take all night - and all tests passed.  I also ran all the other diags and the tests passed but I know they are usually worthless.  In addition, it is intermittently blue screening.  Most recently the stop error was 0x8E fltmgr.sys.  When you are in Windows, it performs very well, until the blue screen.  Previously, when it was blue screening, I thought it was a bad memory bar - determined through process of elimination.  Dell sent a replacement bar but it hasn't fixed things.  I guess the blue screens are just random.  Any ideas?  Thank you.
