How would I setup * server 1 to listen to SIP registrations from both the LAN and WAN ports? Do I setup routingon the Linux server (running CentOS 5.1) and if so how?

The setup:  * Server 1 <--> SIP registrations over lan port <--> * server 2 
                     SIP Registrations over Wan Port <--> * Server 1 

How would I setup * server 1 to listen to SIP registrations from both the LAN and WAN ports? Do I setup routingon the Linux server (running CentOS 5.1) and if so how?

IP telephony (Internet Protocol telephony) is a general term for the technologies that use the Internet Protocol's packet-switched connections to exchange voice, fax, and other forms of information that have traditionally been carried over the dedicated circuit-switched connections of the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Using the Internet, calls travel as packets of data on shared lines, avoiding the tolls of the PSTN. The challenge in IP telephony is to deliver the voice, fax, or video packets in a dependable flow to the user.

IP Telephony

The Internet Protocol (IP) is the principal communications protocol in the Internet protocol suite for relaying datagrams across network boundaries, organized in abstraction layers, traditionally called "Link," "Internet," "Transport" and "Application”. Its routing function enables internetworking, and essentially establishes the Internet. IP defines packet structures that encapsulate the data to be delivered. It also defines addressing methods that are used to label the datagram with source and destination information.
