I need to know that is there any necessity for buying any genuine sql database for my MEDIUM business organization. IF that is required means i need the details of those.what type of organizations can sqlserver be used?ours is a non-IT company.whether it is used for our organization to store our data?

please elaborate the meaning of 1 cpu.because in the usage of web application more then one cpu is inovolved while storing the data into the database.i am using web application for storing data into the database.more than one employee will involve to store the data into the database through this application can it be used.
