Do I create nNew Storage group or new information store?

Hi
I asked yesterday about my exchange server running out of disk space
I have created a 2nd array in the server and need to create a 2nd exchange database to move everything over into

My question is, do i need a new storage group or a new information store to do this?

Regardless of exchange version, creating a single store per storage group is recommended based on things like backup and restore as well as the log files management. If you have enough room to create a new storage group I would recommend going with it else you can still opt for having the single storage group with multiple information stores in it.

if you will not use the old server , you will need to do the two , that's better for me
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

instead of creating a second database/storage group, why don't you move the databases/logs to the new set of disks.

Ok thanks
I'll be creating a new storage group shortly
Unfortunately the array is only going to be the same size as the previous one.
However i am intending to archive a lot of email from each mailbox before I transfer it
