Do you have an Exchange 5.5 servers?
If not then you don't need the ADC. It is only for Exchange 5.5 integration. If you have no Exchange 5.5 servers then remove the ADC.

We had at one tim Exchange 5.5 running on a single server.  We then iin one weekend upgraded to Exchange 200 then 2003 all in th same wekend.  This box became old then we built a new server with a different name.  The onlky issue we are having is that we cannot turn off the old server because the Microsoft System attendant does not create email address.  I thought maybe it haf sonething to do with ADC.  Because the new server does not have that portion installed.  Any other advice would be nost helpful.  How do I turn off th old box and still make sure th new box will function properly?
