hp 3200 smart raid on non hp hardware

I have a 3200 raid controller and would like to know if it's possible to stick it on a white box rather than the garbage box
Is this possible, where can i find the drivers

Usually done that kind of thing works.
You can try the HP drivers, or find out what chipset it uses and try to get the driver from them.

I was hoping for a more specific response
My system doesn't even feel there is a card plugged in let alone try to find a driver fro it
If it can't feel the card plugged in, a driver is not going to point the system to it
or is it

Need more specific information.
Is this from a 'older' HP?
Maybe a Compaq?
If yes, it might be a proprietary card. Or it might be bad.
A quick search seems to show this card in Dells, Compaqs and HPs. These had proprietary machines at some point in time.

smart raid 3200 is quite possibly a proprietory card, I had it in a proliant 1600 compaq server
It's a very good raid card in a compaq server
Not sure that it can't be installed anywhere though

that's why I'm asking if anybody can help
