Locked out of a Sony Vaio laptop riunning Vista (with a fingerprint reader)
Hello Everyone,
I've managed to lock myself out of a Sony Vaio laptop. I was moving it onto a new domain, so like usual I re-set the local admin password to 'password', and moved it into a 'workgroup'.
On re-starting I'm horrified to find that it won't let me specify which lockal user account I want to logon as. It will only let me log in as 'user1' (which I don't have the password for), or use the fingerprint reader; to also authenticate 'user1'.
I've treid 'safe mode'; no good, still requires the same authentication. And I've tried 'last known good config', no good either.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
