Uninstall the HP software. &nbsp;Disconnect the printer from the laptop. &nbsp;Reboot. &nbsp;Download and install CCleaner (<a href="http://www.ccleaner.com" rel="ugc">www.ccleaner.com</a>). &nbsp;Open CCleaner and run both its cleanup function and registry cleaner (scan for issues). &nbsp;This is a gently registry cleaner and you can safely delete anything it finds (although have it backup changes just as a precaution). &nbsp;Reboot. &nbsp;Then try your printer install again.<br />

My Dell laptop (XP Service Pack 3) keeps getting the error when installing the drivers/software package from HP site for the all-in-one hp laser jet 3055 Fatal Error, MSI.dot4msi, code 2753. After some research the only resolution it looks like is to find and older version of the software Version 3. So, far I have tried deleting the some registry keys and clean re-install. Any more suggestions??
