WINS errors event id 4204 on server 2003 r2
I have trying to work out why our server has been generating wins errors event ID 4204 - WINS could not read from the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) socket, I found some articles and questions relating to this but they all say it should only occour every 40 minutes or so, our server is recording these errors all the time, I have attached an extract of the system log file, as soon as you clear the log it is filled instantly, I haven't been able to find anything up to now and we are having trouble setting up some new backup software which should replicate data offsite, cannot keep a connection for this and thought it could be someting to do with this problem?, Has anyone come across this problem and if so how do I resolve,

I have run the netdiag /v on the server, have attached the log file, nothing really stands out to me but then I don't know much about this stuff,
I have no firewalls running at the moment and I don't think there's no room for any other errors on the logs, instantly fills up with the 4204 errors, well I've not seen any others, will check
can this service be switched off altogether?, the only problems it causes me is the system is slow when its running, if I switch off the only error message I get is shown below, which is generated about every 30mins,

What problems would cause the wins to be constantly generating these errors (100's per second), I can't find anything anywhere which sounds similar to this?

have you checked firewalls etc, to make sure WINS is not being blocked.
Anything else on the WINS server - event logs ?
