clean noisy wav file

hi,

I got this wav:
r64_a64_shouthwest_200_meters_2.txt
NOTE: I changed .wav to .txt extension since EE refused to upload .wav extensions. rename and check it

I used this softare to clean it:
http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html

I checked many options: amplitude,speed,low/band_pass etc...

please check what function can be applied to make this message more understood.

I use 'goldwave' to edit audio files, as it allows you to do a lot more customizing of the audio..

www.goldwave.com

i spent about 10mins on it, but because of the underlying noise, its very difficult to filter.. but here's what i came up with.. you might be able to do better with Goldwave though..

Talmash,

The link given to you by PsychoFelix lets you download an evaluation version.

If that does not work to your satisfaction then you might try Total Recorder, especially if you have ongoing work you want to do with audio files.  With the noise reduction feature it costs about $6 more than Goldwave, however.  It has some interesting features that might be more attractive for you than either Wavepad or Goldwave.  A comparison of various versions is shown in the first link below.

I have the Professional Version, but you can get the Standard Version for $17.95
See a comparison at:
http://www.totalrecorder.com/features.htm

You'll need the Add-on for Audio Restoration at $32.95.  It does click removal, noise removal and hiss removal.  See the following link for descriptions of this Add-on.
http://www.totalrecorder.com/addon3.htm

regards.
