Using asp.net ajax enabled controls such as the UpdatePanel, they will go through the full page life cycle on the ajax call, which is a postback. &nbsp; However, using only XMLHttpRequest doesn't result in initiating the asp.net page life cycle. &nbsp;This is what I see with simple test. &nbsp;Can anyone confirm this?
