Hi all,

Completed a SBS 2003 to SBS 2008 Migration. We didnt migrate the old website - thought to look at the new one.

When our browsers open to the default: http://companyweb

We get at 404 error not found on IE 7 and from Firefox the following:

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.0
Date: Mon, 09 Feb 2009 13:25:31 GMT
Connection: close

Any thoughts.

Hello SeanNij,

have you tried reinstalling it from the 2nd sbs 2008 repai dvd?? (since there is no migration of the data)?

Try pinging companyweb   It should come back with the IP address of the SBS server. Right Mouse Click My Computer and click on Manage and open up Servers & IIS manager and check for the existance of Companyweb. If it is not there then the web site is not defined. If it is then check what IP Address and port it is running on.

btw, smth I forgot:
in IIS, check if there is a SBS sharepoint website, right click on it and check 'bindings'.
There should be hostname of 'companyweb' on port 80
do you see that?
