Hi i am trying to browse the web with a dell computer but every time i use IE it wont work.

I used another computer to install Firefox with a USB Flash drive.
After installing and trying again i get this error.
The browser is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

Why is this and how can i correct this ?

Please try this:

Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > click "Settings" in the 'Lan Settings' area and make sure no proxy server is selected.

And what about FireFox > Edit > Settings > Advanced > Network > Connection > Settings?
No proxy selected here either?

Also: Do you run any software that claims to let you hide your IP and surf anonymously? Disable it and try again.

You might also want to check with your anti-virus and/or firewall disabled.
