Hello

Currently I own a Lenovo T43p with an Pentium M 2.13 GHz processor.

Now I am looking into buying a new laptop and found the Lenovo X301 the right choice. (To be precise: Lenovo ThinkPad X301 2774 - Core 2 Duo 1.4 GHz with an Intel® Core"2 Duo Mobile Processor SU9400 1.4Ghz, 1066 MHz, 3MB L2 Cache, 2 x 2048MB DDR3 PC3-8500 (1066MHz) and a 128GB Solid State Disk.)

The only thing that worries me is the speed. Does anyone know how my current Pentium M 2.13 compares to the Core 2 Duo 1.4? I am aware that the size of the new notebook comes with restrictions but how bad is it?

Your help is highly appreciated.

In passmark the 2.13GHz Pentium M scores 496. I couldn't find the exact score for the SU9400 but the T5270 1.4GHz Core 2 duo scores 674, and the SU9400 will be a little bit faster than the T5270.
The higher the score the better.
