I would contact dell support and get a copy of the Open Manage Server Assistant. I *think* you can also download that from the dell support website http://support.dell.com

You configure the raid with the on-board controller firmware. Watch the screen. It should somewhere along the way tell you to press Ctrl-A to configure the raid hardware. Once you get the raid level where you want it go to:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=PWE_R200&os=WNET&osl=EN

to download the drivers for the controller to a floppy disk. When you start to install WIndows 2003 server the first thing you will see at the bottom of the screen is "F6 to install third party drivers". Press F6 and specify the drivers you dowbloaded.

Than should be it. Go back to that Dell web page for the remainter of the drivers after WIndows gets going.

if the person who has asked you to set this up wants you to do it correctly - you should contact dell and get the CDs.

To clarify... if they want you do to it correctly and in the least amount of time... you should contact dell to get the CDs or download the images from the support site.

The CDs aren't really needed. As long as you are allowed to download from Dell's web page you should be fine.

The drivers for the raod controller. You should be able to see the make and model as the computer is booting. Did you see the Ctrl-A message?

I have seen very few terminators with lights on them. You mean the light on the tape drive lights? Do you have it terminated properly?

Dell has too many 110Ts and I can't tell which one you have. Internal, external, DLT, VS80?
