Hi.
Usually it is done with the Fn (blue printed) key and the corresponding key; with a kind of sun as a logo.
What type of a Toshiba do you have ? It is maybe different.

Oops sorry I thought it was a laptop you were talking about :-8

I'm not sure if it is doable... by tweaking that ACPI management ?
But anyway on a desktop it would be done by tweaking the monitor not the video card itself.
Hotkeys will not tweak directly the monitor you see, they use the video card. In short you can't go to the monitor without going through the video card.

I usually do that with xgamma -gamma x.x in a console.
Where x.x are the numbers you enter to set the depth of the colors... And it works pretty well.

Hi l1beratore,

it works correctly now !! superb !!

But then, if you don't mind to answer, when you said hotkeys work with video card, is there a way that we can configure hotkeys so that we can use them ? because right now, all of them are not working:P

I am using a laptop, Toshiba Satellite M45.
VGA is Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)

Cheers,
