I have a remote user with a Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop with windows xp sp2. He has somehow managed to remove his local profile and the laptop OS was rolled out long before I joined the company and I have no documentation as to what the Admin profile password was set to during the OS install.
I've tried a few of the Admin passwords we use for servers etc as I would have thought the previous IT Tech here would have kept them all the same..... obviously he didnt!
I was wondering if there is a default master password I can give him so that he can login and I can remotely connect (he lives in Sheffield and I am in Reading) and recreate his local profile?
He has a network profile also but again that would require the laptop to be onsite so I can connect to our domain and login but that is something we would like to avoid because of the distance.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
