Can some please explain LBA error with Seagate Seatools
Can someone please explain what an LBA error means using Seagate Seatools...
DST faied read element LBA= 6302198.
I ran chkdsk from the XP CD and it appears to have repaired the problem (for now)
Prior to the repiar I was getting a BSD at the windows xp boot screen.
Is it likely to re occur?

I was more intrested in what the error means ;-)
dst failed to read to read element with address LBA = 6302198 that is clear imho; or what don't you understand? am i missing something ?

you can try running HDD regenerator on the drive, or spinrite; both will ensure the operational readyness :
