Have 4GB RAM (EPP) but XP is hiding 1.5GB of it.

RAM is SLI ready (with SLI enabled) I'm sure this is the reason, if I right click on My Computer and properties is list total RAM as 2.5GB, same in task manager. But I have 4 x 1GB sticks installed, detected in BIOS and in Everest, where or what is Windows XP Pro doing with the 1.5GB?

It's a limitation of the operating system, and it will only be able to use 2.5 to 3GB of RAM.

I guess to clarify, that missing memory has been reserved by the OS as virtual address space for memory-mapped devices in your system like the video card and such.

There are some other links to read about it, but in the end, the way to be able to use more memory is a 64-bit OS.
