New Iphone.  Can't get it to connect to SBS 2003 with self generated cert.  Never had a problem before.  Verified Iphone can connect to Exchange by connecting it to a different Exchange server.  Have tried with and without ssl.  All domain name/username combos.  Seems like it hits the server but something is holding it up.  Any ideas?

SSL will not work to iphone with self signed certificate unless you go through some major steps to install one.  I would also recommend that you purcahse a signed certificate - Godaddy turbo ssl is only $29/year.

If you tried it without SSL - it may not have worked unless you have port 80 open to your server and that the default website will allow connections which are unsecured.

I would install the signed certificate and it should work like a champ.

I have done this successfully with a self cert on sbs2003, 2003 standard with Exchange 03 and 2003 enterprise with Exchange 03.  I have never encountered an issue.  Just did it two weeks ago for another client with sbs2003.  I may go with a real cert anyway.  Thanks for the input.  I am going to mess around in IIS some more.

I have it working.  Had to mess with IIS settings but finally got it going.  Thanks for the input.
