Hi,

Im running Exceed from my Win XP clinet and trying to connect to a solaris 8 server via XDMCP. Some days it works fine, and other days it doesn't work att all. The X window allways starts, but a lot of times it doesn't connect to the server.
I can't see any error messages in /var/adm/messages on the server regarding this. And nothing in the program log on my pc.
I also tried to install Xming, but that one works even worse.
I checked my networks configuration and that seems to be ok to.

What can be wrong?

I have no firewall, but the X server exists on a different subnet.

Then you have to use XDMCP Query to host or directed broadcast to another subnet, or establish multicast on remote xdmcpd
